Meet Our Physicians
Dr. Matthew J. Comstock, DO, FACC, FSCAI

“I’ve dedicated my career to giving patients back their legs — and their lives.” Dr. Matthew J. Comstock is a nationally recognized interventional cardiologist and a leading authority in limb salvage and advanced peripheral vascular intervention.
He is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is best known for his expertise in Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) and advanced below-the-knee and pedal revascularization — treating the most complex “no-option” cases where patients have often been told amputation is inevitable.
His practice emphasizes precision diagnostics, comprehensive anatomic assessment, and aggressive-yet-appropriate revascularization strategies designed to restore blood flow, preserve limbs, and improve long-term quality of life.
In 2019, Dr. Comstock founded the Tulsa Cardiovascular Center of Excellence (TCCE) — a purpose-built outpatient revascularization and amputation-prevention center. TCCE was created to deliver high-acuity cardiovascular and vascular care outside the constraints of traditional hospital systems and has become a regional and national referral destination for complex peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot ischemia, and limb-threatening conditions.
Dr. Comstock’s approach is data-driven, patient-specific, and outcomes-focused. He utilizes advanced techniques including intravascular imaging, atherectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, complex tibial and pedal interventions, and staged revascularization — always guided by anatomy, physiology, and clinical necessity.
Beyond limb salvage, he provides expert care in complex coronary interventions and comprehensive cardiovascular risk management. At the core of his work is a commitment to restoring function, preserving independence, and improving quality of life.
He works in close collaboration with podiatrists, wound care specialists, primary care physicians, and referring hospitals to deliver coordinated, compassionate, and comprehensive care — centered on the patient and grounded in clinical excellence.
Dr. John Evans, DO
“Every limb I save is a life restored — and I’m proud to partner with hospitals to give patients options when others have run out.” Dr. John Evans is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with deep expertise in advanced below-the-knee and below-the-ankle revascularization for chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI).
He routinely manages the most complex “no-option” peripheral vascular cases that require specialized endovascular techniques most centers cannot offer.
His clinical focus includes peripheral vascular and coronary interventions, treatment of central venous insufficiency, and cardiac rhythm device management — all performed in our fully outpatient setting for faster recovery and same-day discharge.
A native of Tulsa, Dr. Evans earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and fellowships in General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Oklahoma State University.
He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. With more than a decade of dedicated experience in high-acuity endovascular procedures, Dr. Evans brings both technical precision and a genuine commitment to restoring mobility and independence for patients across the Tulsa region.

Beyond the cath lab, Dr. Evans is an avid musician who performs with a local jazz ensemble. He lives in Bixby with his wife, son, and their family dog.
