YOUR HEART CARE TEAM

Attending Cardiologists

Our attending cardiologists are board-certified physicians specializing in cardiovascular medicine. They lead your care, perform diagnostic evaluations and interventional procedures, and collaborate with your primary care provider to ensure a seamless, personalized treatment plan.

Our cardiologists are deeply committed to amputation prevention, revascularization, and advanced limb salvage care — restoring circulation and improving patient outcomes.

Advanced Practice Practitioner

Our Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants) receive extensive training in cardiovascular care. They work hand-in-hand with our cardiologists to manage treatment plans, review diagnostics, and ensure continuity of care.

Their expertise allows patients to receive timely and effective heart and vascular care — guided by compassion and clinical excellence.

Medical Students and Residents

As part of our ongoing commitment to education, Tulsa Cardiovascular Center of Excellence partners with local teaching hospitals to help train the next generation of heart specialists.
Our medical students and residents work under the direct supervision of our cardiologists, gaining hands-on experience in cardiovascular medicine and patient care.

Registered Nurses

Our nurses play a vital role in outpatient care. They assist in monitoring your progress, explaining your treatment plan, administering medications, and ensuring you feel supported and informed throughout your visit.

Medical Assistants

Medical assistants help coordinate your visit from start to finish — taking vital signs, assisting during heart exams, and supporting diagnostic procedures such as ecg/ekg. They also handle patient inquiries, scheduling, and ensure smooth clinic operations.

Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers

Our sonographers specialize in performing echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds, using advanced imaging to assess your heart and blood vessels. These diagnostic tests are crucial in detecting early signs of cardiovascular disease and guiding appropriate treatment.

Financial Coordinators

Financial Coordinators are available upon request to assist you with understanding billing, insurance coverage, and financial assistance options.

WHEN TO SEE A CARDIOLOGIST?

If you’re experiencing signs of poor circulation or symptoms that may indicate Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), it’s important to seek care from a cardiologist as soon as possible. Watch out for:

  • Leg pain, cramping, or fatigue while walking (claudication)

  • Numbness, coldness, or discoloration in your legs, feet, or toes

  • Slow-healing or non-healing wounds on the legs or feet

  • Weak or absent pulses in the legs

  • Changes in skin texture (shiny skin, hair loss, brittle nails)

  • Leg swelling or heaviness

  • Chest pain, shortness of breath, or palpitations—especially if paired with circulation issues

Early detection and treatment of PAD can prevent serious complications, including critical limb ischemia and limb loss.

At Tulsa Cardiovascular Center of Excellence, our mission is clear — to protect your heart, restore healthy circulation, and prevent amputation through advanced, compassionate vascular and cardiovascular care.
